My approach to achieving the most natural and candid imagery is simple—by letting you, be you. I understand how uncomfortable and nerve racking it can be to have to pose and feel your best in front of a camera
If you love the final photos I deliver but don’t love the experience—then I haven’t done my job. When you look at your wedding photos, I hope you’ll fondly remember the goofy faces I made to make your little nephew smile, or the hilarious pose I struck to get that perfect angle for a shot. I prioritize communication, connection, and clear expectations throughout the entire process, so you’ll know exactly what to expect each step of the way, allowing you to feel at ease to focus on the most important moments of your big day instead of the logistics or worrying about something being missed.

get to know me
I specialize in seniors, weddings and boudoir photographing, based out of the great Midwest—the good ole state of Wisconsin to be exact. As long as I can remember—I have had a fondness for documenting life moments so it only made sense to turn a hobby into a career I truly love.
When I'm not behind the lens you can find me out in nature with my beautiful black lab, Tex, whipping up some sourdough bread and cookies, or renovating our home!

Shania did both our engagement photos and wedding photos. We could not be happier with how our photos came out. She has a great eye for shots, and while she is a candid photographer, she was really great about directing us as we've never had any professional shots taken, so we were a bit awkward! Photos came on time and I have gotten so many compliments from people about them! She is SUPER personable and kind. This was my first boudoir shoot I was really nervous but wanted to give my husband something on our wedding day. Shaina made me feel really comfortable. She posed me and showed me exactly what to do. I honestly left feeling disappointed because I didn't think I was good enough or I would look good, I wasn't skinny enough to do a photo shoot like this. But when I got the photos back, I cried!! I've had two sessions with Shania- an engagement shoot a few years ago and a mommy/daughter studio session recently. Both experiences were wonderful!
